Twists and Turns#

  • Stay in Hefei
    • When checking in to Hefei, I didn't contact the landlord in advance, so I kept calling the landlord on the street at midnight.
    • After finally getting through, I was ready to check in, but the landlord actually asked to add them on WeChat and transfer a deposit, with a bad attitude.
    • Finally, I got the password through Meituan customer service and successfully entered the accommodation.
    • Although the landlord had a bad attitude at first, it was cheap after all, and the house was new and clean, so overall, the accommodation was satisfactory.
  • Manghe Music Festival
    • Due to traffic control, we had to get off early and walk nearly 2 kilometers to the entrance.
    • The ticket collection process was the most incomprehensible. Since the tickets were purchased on Weidian, we needed to queue to exchange for physical tickets, and then queue again to exchange for wristbands. However, we couldn't exchange them and needed to scan the QR code on the physical ticket to bind our identity information.
    • After exchanging the wristbands, we queued again to enter. Our bags were searched first, and then we had to swipe our ID cards one by one to enter.
    • Throughout the entry process, there were fights and people demanding refunds. The final step of swiping ID cards to enter also caused chaos, and all the barriers were opened, allowing the crowd to rush in without any checks.
    • The entire process took more than an hour, and we were under the scorching sun the whole time. There were no staff members guiding the queue at the ticket collection area, and the queues were chaotic. It was a complete crowd pushing forward, and after exchanging the tickets, there was no exit, so we had to squeeze through the crowd to leave.
  • Stay in Changzhou
    • On the day of departure, I received a call from the landlord at noon, saying that the homestay did not pass the fire inspection and we couldn't stay. They only gave two options: 1. Switch to another house, 2. Apply for a refund through the platform. Due to the proximity to the departure date and the music festival, the prices of other accommodations had increased, and it would be troublesome to find another place, so we had to accept the switch.
    • The layout of the community was also strange. The entire area under the building we stayed in couldn't be accessed by car. We had to drive around the building in circles, and finally managed to park and go upstairs.
    • The house was very old, with only one bathroom, and it was noisy. The cleanliness was not good either, even worse than Hefei.
    • During dinner, security guards came to ask us to move our car.

Happy Moments#

  • On the night of arrival in Hefei, we went to a barbecue restaurant. The service was good, the food tasted great, and we had some beer together, chatting and having a great time.
  • The next morning, we found a steamed bun shop next to our accommodation. They had local specialty soup and the steamed buns and soup were delicious. After that, we bought a lot of snacks from a nearby snack shop. They were cheap and had a wide variety. Although we didn't finish them in the end, we were still happy when we bought them.
  • Although the organizers of the music festival were foolish, the lineup was great.
  • The trip was exciting from the beginning. The live performance of Secondhand Rose was so charming, and we were completely immersed in it.

Although it feels like there were many twists and turns and few happy moments recorded, we had a great time joking and laughing together.
